Koch Membrane Systems designed the world’s first commercial UF system to make WPC during the 1970s. In the following decades, we have continued to work closely with dairy producers to understand their specific separation and filtration challenges, and engineer membrane technologies that are tailored for applications such as milk filtration, and whey protein concentration, purification and recovery.

Chemical Recovery

In addition to filtering dairy products, some KMS membranes can recover harsh chemicals, such as caustic and acid commonly used for cleaning process equipment. Our SelRO® elements remove suspended and dissolved solids, allowing the treated cleaning solutions to be reused. This helps reduce waste and improves cost-efficiency.
